How did you get into building with LEGO bricks, especially building your own creations? I started when I was 7 years old: I got lost in a mall, while my parents were buying groceries, so I ended up at the toy store. There, I discovered LEGO sets for the first time. I was so amazed about a toy you could build yourself. I then entered my dark ages from 14 to 21, but eventually came back forever.

What kind of creations do you love building the most, and why? Cartoon characters, I love to build stuff that I can relate to, and eventually will smile at me. When that happens is quite a Pinocchio-like magic moment.

If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring LEGO builders, what would it be? Build what you love, as often as you can, and convert it into LEGO bricks. Talent is passion and repetition!

How does it feel to have your work exhibited here at LEGO House - Home of the Brick? I’ve been helping LEGO fans install their creations in LEGO House for 3 years. Being on the other side is such a new experience for me!

Title 1. HO HO HOme of the Brick 2. What’s your jam

Can you describe your model and what it represents? HO HO HOme of the Brick I wanted to represent the higher values and holiday vibes. As I always like to use LEGO bricks for graphic design, I thought it could be cool to do it with lettering, combined with some little builds that help with the concept and message. I chose vintage-like colors, to recreate this old “polaroid” vibe. I also included retro shapes and font treatments, as in the 70’s (the decade I was born).

What’s your jam I did the same with this piece; an impression of passion points related to creative thinking, celebrating it with more lettering explorations and little builds. How could I show the things that bring happiness to our lives?

How long did it take you to build? I had a lot of building evenings this summer. I took my time to get the best look and proper storytelling.

Approximately how many LEGO elements did you use? No idea! But I know it would be a veeeery expensive set.

Are there any hidden details, Easter eggs, or techniques in your model that fans should look out for? The elf minifigures are getting everything ready for Christmas at the LEGO House, as always, some unexpected surprises are going on. Also, there is something I used that may not look like LEGO bricks, but actually…IT IS!
