Meet Danish Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One driver Fred Vesti at LEGO® House

On 19 June, guests at LEGO® House can meet Danish Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One 3rd driver Fred Vesti. Hear stories from the world of Formula One and get up close to the spectacular full-size LEGO Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 car – alongside Fred himself.

BILLUND, DENMARK, JUNE 15, 2026: When Fred Vesti walks through the doors of LEGO® House on 19 June, he will not only be greeted by LEGO fans with and without a passion for fast cars, but also by a racing car he knows particularly well – the black Mercedes on LEGO Square, built from more than 400,000 LEGO bricks.

The Danish racing driver, who serves as 3rd driver for the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, is visiting LEGO House as part of the attraction’s racing-themed season, where guests can experience some of Formula One’s most iconic racing cars recreated in LEGO bricks.

On 19 June, the spotlight will be on the impressive full-size LEGO Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 car. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Fred Vesti, take photos, collect autographs and hear about life at the pinnacle of international motorsport – from his first laps in karting to his role as reserve driver for one of Formula One’s most successful teams.

Fred Vesti grew up not far from Billund and has previously spoken about how LEGO bricks were a big part of his childhood, providing a creative outlet alongside his passion for motorsport:

“Fred Vesti is Denmark’s most exciting motorsport talent, and we are delighted to give our guests the opportunity to meet him up close. His story shows how a fascination that begins with childhood play and curiosity can develop into a career at the very highest level. At the same time, we hope that meeting Frederik will inspire the next generation of racing drivers, inventors and dreamers to believe that great ambitions often start with small beginnings,” says Rasmus Duun, Managing Director of LEGO House.

In addition to the opportunity to meet Fred by the large Mercedes model, he will also take part in a range of activities throughout the House. Guests can join him as he builds racing trophies in Creative Lab, puts his skills to the test in Test Driver in the Experience Zones, and shares the story of his journey through motorsport in LEGO Square.

“It’s going to be fantastic to visit LEGO House and meet the fans. Motorsport is all about speed and competition, but it starts with fascination, curiosity and big dreams. And for me, it also started with LEGO bricks. I grew up just a few minutes from Billund, and LEGO bricks were a big part of my childhood. I was fascinated by the details and by building something from the ground up. In many ways, it’s that same fascination with detail and the final result that continues to drive me today when I’m sitting in one of the world’s most advanced simulators, testing, training and racing. I hope I can inspire some of the children and young people who visit LEGO House to pursue their own dreams – and perhaps even inspire a few future Formula One drivers,” says Fred Vesti.

The visit forms part of LEGO House’s summer season, where creativity, building and motorsport come together in experiences for the whole family.

LEGO Built Trophies See original LEGO trophies inspired by the iconic Royal Automobile Club (RAC) trophy presented at the FORMULA 1® BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2025. LEGO House is displaying replica versions of these unique trophies. Built from thousands of LEGO bricks, they demonstrate how even the most prestigious symbols of victory can be recreated in LEGO bricks.

Build Your Own Winner’s Trophy in Creative Lab In Creative Lab in the Red Zone, guests can take part in Build Your Victory and design their own LEGO trophies using a huge selection of bricks, colours and elements. On Friday 19 June, you may even get the chance to build alongside Frederik Vesti.
