How did you get into building with LEGO bricks, especially building your own creations? I’ve loved building with LEGO since I got my first set from my grandparents when I was 5 or 6 years old. The endless possibilities of the brick were just so fun to me, and once I got going I couldn’t be stopped.

What kind of creations do you love building the most, and why? One of my favourite types of creations to build is replicas! It’s such a fun challenge to take something from the real world (or movies, TV shows, and video games) and try to capture every detail of it as accurately as possible.

If you could give one piece of advice to aspiring LEGO builders, what would it be? You don’t need a lot of LEGO to get started with building! A great way to practice building is to pick a random object, animal, or vehicle, and do your best to make it recognizable. Think about some of the key features of what you’re building that will make it obvious to someone else what it is!

How does it feel to have your work exhibited here at LEGO House - Home of the Brick? I’m super excited to have the opportunity to display one of my builds at LEGO House! I’ve always found myself feeling really inspired by all the amazing builds on display, both done by the team at LEGO House and ones by fans who have their models in the masterpiece gallery or zones. And the possibility that my build might be able to do the same thing for an inspiring builder is amazing.

Title Journey Home from the Great White North

Can you describe your model and what it represents? This build is a map-like creation, showcasing a minifigure family's adventures over the winter break to Canada, before their return to the Home of the Brick at LEGO House in Billund. The build uses a mix of scales to capture each moment and includes some classic map features like a compass and travel path. It was especially fun bringing some of my favourite aspects of growing up in Canada, like skiing or hot chocolate on a cold day, to life in the brick. And different places in my new home, since I now live in Billund!

Are there any hidden details, Easter eggs, or techniques in your model that fans should look out for? I have hidden several LEGO frogs throughout the build. There are at least five in different colours. See if you can find them!
