Indoor activities for children at LEGO House
When the weather isn't ideal for outdoor adventures, having a great plan B makes all the difference. Luckily, there are plenty of indoor activities for kids that can entertain, inspire, and bring the whole family together for a day of pure fun. Whether it's during school holidays, rainy days, or a hot summer afternoon when you're looking for shade, we've got you covered.
LEGO® House in Billund is an experience center filled with creative building experiences you simply can't get at home. With more than 25 million LEGO bricks spread throughout the venue, you can bring your wildest ideas to life and see what happens when play meets learning. LEGO House is open most of the year, making it the perfect destination when you're looking for unforgettable indoor experiences for the whole family.
Explore the four Experience Zones
Once you've scanned your wristbands, a world of discovery awaits. Our four Experience Zones are color-coded, each representing a key aspect of children's learning and development. Here, there are no answer keys or step-by-step manuals – just pure creativity for all ages.

Red Zone
Here, we celebrate spontaneous imagination. Pull up a seat at the giant brick pools, dive hands-first into an endless sea of LEGO bricks, and watch your ideas take shape under the giant LEGO waterfall.

Yellow Zone
Here, emotions, shapes, and movement take center stage. Build your own whimsical creatures, scan them into our digital installations, and watch your creations come to life on the big screens.
While the venue is packed with exciting activities for older kids, our youngest visitors haven't been forgotten. In every Experience Zone, you'll find dedicated DUPLO® play areas where toddlers aged 1–3 can safely play, stack, sort, and explore large bricks at their own pace.
History Collection and Masterpiece Gallery
One of the first experiences welcoming you is the Masterpiece Gallery, featuring art exhibits and three giant dinosaurs built from the three LEGO brick systems – DUPLO®, SYSTEM®, and TECHNIC®. This is our ultimate tribute to creativity. Through rotating exhibitions created by passionate LEGO fans from around the globe, you'll get an inspiring look at what builders can create – from massive sculptures to intricate cities and mechanical wonders – when given total creative freedom.
You can also head downstairs to our History Collection, where you can dive into the story of the LEGO brick. Discover how a small wooden duck from a local carpentry workshop in Billund evolved into the global phenomenon it is today. It's the perfect place to learn about our heritage and revisit classic LEGO sets from across the decades – a nostalgic trip down memory lane for parents, and a fascinating eye-opener for kids!
Visit parts of LEGO House without a ticket
Did you know that a large part of LEGO House is actually free to access without an entry ticket? Our central plaza in the heart of the building is open to everyone, making it a great place to drop by for a few hours of fun, shopping, or a unique dining experience if you are staying nearby or visiting LEGOLAND®.

Fuel up at MINI CHEF or Café BRICKACCINO
When hunger strikes, treat yourselves to a visit at our family-friendly restaurant, MINI CHEF. Instead of ordering from a standard menu, you build your order using LEGO bricks, scan it at your table, and watch our service robots, Robert and Roberta, deliver your meal in oversized LEGO bricks. Remember to book a table at MINI CHEF well in advance if you're visiting during holidays!
If you just need a quick meal, a good cup of coffee, or a sweet treat, Café BRICKACCINO is the perfect spot before continuing your day.
Find exclusive LEGO sets in the LEGO Store
Don't forget to stop by the LEGO Store, which features a wide selection of new, popular, and exclusive sets that can only be found right here in Billund. You can also customize your very own personalized LEGO minifigures. Maybe even one that looks just like you!
Get some fresh air on the roof terraces
Last but not least, you can explore the nine roof terraces at the top of the building completely free of charge. Every terrace hides a colorful outdoor playground where kids can burn off energy while adults take in panoramic views of the town.
