LEGO® art from more than 50 countries is decorating LEGO House

During the summer of 2021, LEGO® fans from all over the world creatively turned small LEGO mosaics into a giant work of art, which was launched in LEGO House on 3 September 2021.

The artwork is for everyone by everyone. More than 27,000 LEGO DOTS mosaics have been created both physically and digitally by LEGO fans from near and far, either in LEGO House or from their own home. Here, they have built, designed or with the LEGO DOTS online design tool dotted their contribution to this unique artwork.

LEGO fans from more than 50 countries including the US, Germany, Australia, as well as Ecuador and Chile have contributed to the giant LEGO DOTS wall installation. They have each contributed with at least one small work of art, which have all been put together to form one giant masterpiece

"We are hugely overwhelmed by the amount of mosaics that have been created both from our guests at LEGO House as well as everyone who participated online. We have received far more contributions than expected. Each and every one of the contributors is to be thanked for blowing us away with the amount of creativity we have seen in each mosaic." says Jesper Vilstrup, Managing Director of LEGO House.

The small mosaics cover an incredible 50 sqm of wall space, between the Red and Yellow Zones in LEGO House. The 27,000 mosaics form a work of pixelated art that transitions colourfully from red and light blue shades into yellow and purple shades, just as you see it in the colourful LEGO House experience zones.

"In the wake of a global pandemic, this building event has been a great opportunity to engage with LEGO fans from all over the world. We wish we could welcome a lot more international guests to the Home of the Brick in LEGO House, but when that hasn't been possible, it's been a great alternative that we've been able to build together – apart. The fact that it has ended with participants from more than 50 countries contributing to the 50 sqm we wanted to decorate is almost creative magic." says Jesper Vilstrup.

Jesper Vilstrup says about this summer's season at LEGO House "We have actually seen many more guests over the summer at LEGO House than expected, which we are super happy about. Experiencing the house again filled with LEGO fans who come for the ultimate LEGO experience suggests that we are on the other side of some tough years."
